IPOB Lawyer, Ejiofor Exposes Fake IPOB Sit-at-Home Order, Warns Ndi-Igbo
Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor has publicly dismantled a viral press release credited to “Comrade Emma Powerful,” IPOB’s Media and Publicity Secretary, describing it as a fraudulent attempt to revive fear and instability in Ala-Igbo through a fake sit-at-home order scheduled for February 2, 2026.
In a strongly worded social media post titled “A Phantom Command, A Hijacked Megaphone, and the Final Unmasking of Purveyors of Fake News,” Ejiofor detailed on “Why Ndi-Igbo Must Ignore This Fraudulent “February 2nd, Sit-at-Home” Order”
He accused sections of the Nigerian media of prioritizing sensational headlines over factual verification.
According to him, the repeated circulation of unverified claims attributed to “Emma Powerful” has become a dangerous pattern that fuels confusion and unrest.
“The mere scent of that name, regardless of authenticity, is enough to guarantee instant circulation, feverish readership, and uncritical acceptance. One might almost admire the efficiency, if it were not so dangerous.”
Ejiofor stated clearly that the alleged sit-at-home directive is false and has been formally disowned by the leadership of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
He revealed that thorough checks confirmed the platform once associated with “Emma Powerful” has been compromised and hijacked by individuals who profit from fear, disruption, and extortion.
“Let it be stated clearly, unequivocally, and without ambiguity: this directive is fake, a phantom, a calculated falsehood.
Upon careful inquiry and diligent verification, especially considering the delicate and hard-won calm presently returning to our homeland, it became glaringly obvious that the so-called “Emma Powerful” platform has been fatally compromised. It has been hijacked by vested interests whose business model thrives on fear, disruption, extortion, and the cynical exploitation of vulnerable communities.
The peaceful global movement of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has formally and decisively disowned this fabricated publication, categorically distancing itself from the false sit-at-home order and directing Ndi-Igbo to go about their lawful and normal activities without fear.”
He warned that such fake directives often create openings for criminal elements who exploit chaos under the guise of enforcement.
Ejiofor stressed that the recent calm returning to parts of Ala-Igbo should not be threatened by misinformation designed to reopen old wounds.
“The so-called ‘Emma Powerful’ platform in its current form is no longer a reliable source,” Ejiofor declared, urging Ndi-Igbo to treat any publication from it with extreme suspicion or outright disregard.
He further called on IPOB’s peaceful global movement to go beyond distancing itself from the fake order and clearly explain to the public why the platform has become compromised.
According to him, silence and vague disclaimers only allow continued abuse of the name and legacy associated with IPOB’s communication channels.
Using vivid imagery, Ejiofor described the perpetrators as a “masquerade dancing with fire,” warning that they should not be mistaken for messengers of truth.
He concluded by encouraging residents across Ala-Igbo to continue their lawful daily activities without fear, reaffirming that no sit-at-home directive has been issued by IPOB’s leadership.
