King Charles Upholds Firm Stance on Prince Harry’s Royal Role Post-Meeting

United Kingdom, (September 22, 2025)

Following a private meeting between King Charles III and Prince Harry at Clarence House earlier this month, reports indicate that the monarch has reaffirmed his position regarding his youngest son’s involvement in royal duties.

According to sources cited by The Times, King Charles has maintained the late Queen Elizabeth II’s policy that royal roles cannot be “half-in, half-out.” This stance effectively rules out any partial return to royal duties for the Duke of Sussex. Despite the face-to-face meeting, neither King Charles nor Prince Harry reportedly expressed interest in revisiting Harry’s former royal role.

Prince Harry’s spokesperson confirmed that the focus of the meeting was solely on the King’s well-being, with no discussions about Harry’s royal status.

Subsequently, during a visit to Ukraine, Harry addressed ongoing speculation about his dissatisfaction with life in California. He asserted that he is content with his current life and criticized certain elements of the British press for misrepresenting his emotions.

Harry acknowledged enduring stressful moments, particularly legal battles with UK media outlets, but emphasized that his public disclosures were efforts to correct false narratives rather than seek revenge.

The meeting between father and son, their first in over 18 months, was described as “brief but significant.” Harry had cleared his schedule for the day in hopes of finding a window of time for the King, who was in London for official engagements. After the meeting, Harry proceeded to attend a scheduled engagement for the Invictus Games Foundation.

As of now, there has been no indication from either the Palace or the Duke of Sussex’s representatives about any change in Harry’s status within the royal family.
