President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of Nigeria met with French President Emmanuel Macron on Wednesday for a private working lunch at the Élysée Palace in Paris. The engagement formed part of President Tinubu’s ongoing diplomatic visit to Europe.
According to the Nigerian Presidency, the meeting focused on strengthening bilateral ties, exploring trade and investment opportunities, and discussing regional security cooperation. No formal communique was issued after the session, but aides described the atmosphere as warm and productive.
The Paris stop follows President Tinubu’s broader European itinerary aimed at expanding Nigeria’s diplomatic and economic partnerships. France remains one of Nigeria’s key allies in West Africa, and Wednesday’s talks was seen as deepening their relationship.
