Forest Weddings With Terrorists: Mazi Chika Austin Exposes Unholy Alliance Between Nigerian Politicians, Security Agencies and Killers
Abuja, Nigeria – November 6, 2025
Political activist and analyst Mazi Chika Austin has accused Nigerian politicians and security agencies of collaborating with terrorists, stating that some politicians attend the weddings of terrorist leaders in the forests while intelligence agencies maintain relationships with the same killers they are meant to fight.
In a live Facebook broadcast monitored by PEOPLES CHRONICLES, Austin said Nigerian leaders have lost their moral compass, ignoring the mass killings in Borno, Katsina, Sokoto, and other states across the country.
“They do not even recognize those being killed as humans deserving of an outcry,” he lamented.
Austin declared that there is an ongoing Christian genocide in Nigeria, describing it as “an existential threat that has been watered down as mere killings.”
“Let nobody make any mistake about it, there is an ongoing Christians genocide, some people have watered it down and called it mere killings, however way you chose to call it, Christians all over Nigeria is facing an existential threat. Saying it may not be politically correct but it is true,” he said.
While acknowledging that a few moderate Muslims have also been victims, he insisted that Christians remain the main targets.
“When you measure the ratio, clearly Christians are the target. Must every Christian in Nigeria be wiped out before we call it genocide?” he asked.
Austin clarified that former U.S. President Donald J. Trump never talked about invading Nigeria but about “annihilating terrorists who are killing Christians.” He accused Nigerian politicians of deliberately misinforming the public.
“Nigeria has already been invaded, by Fulani terrorists. They are foreigners killing Nigerian citizens, yet it didn’t attract outrage,” he said. “In actual fact, Trump’s desire is to wipe out terrorists, where the Nigerian government have clearly failed.”
“Some are saying, ‘Don’t come, give us the equipment.’ The question is, what did you do with the ones you received,” questioning why the government is panicking over possible American involvement in Nigeria’s counterterrorism efforts.
According to him, the Nigerian government’s attitude toward the killers is one of appeasement, not justice.
“They negotiate with them, pay them huge settlements, and even integrate them into the national defense. Soldiers keep dying because terrorists have infiltrated the system,” he stated.
He warned that the United States’ frustration with Nigeria stems from repeated security leaks.
“National intelligence shared with Nigeria has been leaked to terrorists. That’s why the U.S. no longer trusts them,” Austin said, citing a failed joint operation where American forces found terrorists wearing gas masks after the plan to gas the terrorists to sleep was compromised.
Austin said this betrayal of trust explains why the American government should not be expected to share sensitive intelligence with Nigeria. “Should the U.S. keep entrusting a national asset to people who don’t value it?”
Austin stated that Nigerian politicians are lobbying foreign governments to pressure the U.S. into backing down from any plan to act against terrorism in Nigeria.
“They fear America’s involvement could trigger structural change. The state, as it stands, belongs to them and their families, the rest is gifted away to their foreign friends. Structural change is bad for business,” he said.
He dismissed as propaganda claims that America is after Nigeria’s mineral wealth, stating that, “Those resources have never benefited Nigerians. They are enjoyed by the same politicians and their families,” he said.
Austin also rebuked those diverting attention by trumpeting that IPOB is behind international reports of Christian persecution in Nigeria, arguing that the movement did well to “raised the alarm the government refused to sound.”
“When something goes wrong, is it ghosts that will speak up? IPOB chose to raise the alarm because of it’s believe in the preservation of humanity. Northern Christians are facing extinction, IPOB had to inform the world of this menace, the same way IPOB informs the world about the killing of Muslims.” he added.
Commenting on the upcoming Anambra governorship election, Austin accused the state government of launching violent false-flag operations to justify electoral manipulation and blame IPOB for the violence.
“The media has been configured to blame IPOB for every crime in the South-East. It’s a pretext to rig the election and shift blame,” he said. “IPOB has not made any statement about the election, yet the government is already predicting violence and blaming IPOB in advance. Their plan is to use violence to rig the election and shift the blame.”
He also revealed that President Bola Tinubu’s proposed visit to the United States was declined.
The Nigerian president had planned a working visit to the U.S. in an attempt to persuade Donald Trump to jettison attacking Fulani terrorists ravaging Nigeria. However, the U.S. government offered him only a meeting with the Vice President, a proposal Tinubu was advised was designed to undermine him.
“That rejection has unsettled Nigeria’s leadership. They understand the depth of the diplomatic mess they’re in,” Austin noted.
Austin said while China has publicly opposed U.S. war against Christian genocide in Nigeria, America will not back down.
“The U.S. will do everything possible to prove that China cannot make them retreat. China’s foreign policy doesn’t even allow foreign wars,” he said.
While commenting on the relationship between Nigeria and Russia, he stated that Russia has distanced itself from Nigeria, backing its Sahel allies, Mali, Niger, and Burkina Faso, who are fighting the same Fulani terrorists that Nigeria is supporting.
Concluding, Austin described Nigerian politicians as “unstable, uncommitted, and self-serving,” warning that their era of impunity is collapsing.
“A process has begun in Nigeria,” he said. “The myth of the ‘Giant of Africa,’ whose unity cannot be questioned even in the face of bloodshed, cannot stand.”
