The Nigerian Government Wants Christians to be Killed – Robert Spencer Maintains
The Nigerian government is made up of Fulani Muslims, and they are one of the major groups waging the jihad.

The Director of Jihad Watch, Robert Spencer, has accused the Nigerian government of being complicit in the systematic killing of Christians, stating that key figures within the government belong to the same group driving the violent jihad sweeping across the country.
In an interview with David on America’s Voice News, Spencer said he doubts the United States would go to war over the ongoing massacre of Christians in Nigeria because the Nigerian authorities themselves are “actively supporting or enabling” the violence.
“I very seriously doubt it, because I expect that the Nigerian government will act, at least to give the appearance of doing something to stop the mass killing of Christians there,” Spencer said.
“The big problem here, though, is that the Nigerian government, for years, and I’ve been documenting this day by day at Jihad Watch, has been complicit in this killing.
They want the Christians to be killed in Nigeria. The Nigerian government is made up of Fulani Muslims, and they are one of the major groups waging the jihad,” reechoing the recent outcry from Mazi Chinasa Nworu, accussing Northern Nigerian Leaders of Enabling Terrorism Ravaging Nigeria Christians.
Spencer’s remarks come amid global outrage over unabated attacks on Christian communities across northern and central Nigeria, where tens of thousands have been slaughtered by armed Fulani militants and Islamist extremists in recent years.
Despite international condemnation, the Nigerian authorities have largely been accused of turning a blind eye, or worse, collaborating with the attackers. Public statements and actions from government officials have at several times re-enforced this.
According to Spencer, the nature of jihad makes it an endless ideological war that cannot be solved through negotiation or superficial policy measures.
“When you’re coming to jihad, it’s a war that never ends, as we are seeing in Gaza,” he warned. “You can’t sign a deal and think it’s all gonna go away. It’s just gonna keep going, and we saw that didn’t work out so well for the U.S. in Afghanistan or Iraq.”
“Maybe it will be better this time to pursue other means, such as cutting off the people who are funding and equipping the jihadists in Nigeria, and helping the Nigerian opposition.”
When asked about claims by the BBC that former U.S. President Donald Trump did not provide any proof of genocide in Nigeria. BBC alleges that that both Christians and Muslims are being killed, Spencer accused the Western media of deliberately downplaying the scale of anti-Christian persecution.
“They’re not only doing the moral equivalency part of it, they’re literally denying there’s even a genocide to begin with,” he said. “That makes me think there must be some very strong leftist forces behind it. Otherwise, why would the BBC and the rest of the leftist propaganda establishment be running interference for these people?”
Spencer insisted that the genocide is “abundantly documented”, pointing to years of reports compiled by Jihad Watch and other independent monitors chronicling the targeted killings, village burnings, and mass displacements affecting Nigeria’s Christian population.
“It’s been going on with the world completely ignoring it,” he emphasized. “I have the documentation, years of it, at Jihadwatch.org.”
The information provided by the veteran counterterrorism analyst further deepen the growing debate over Nigeria’s deteriorating security situation and the failure of the Tinubu administration to protect religious minorities.
Observers note that Spencer’s information, could bring Nigeria’s relationship with its Western allies, particularly the United States, under renewed scrutiny, as Washington weighs its next steps following the country’s recent designation as a “Country of Particular Concern.”
