Tinubu has plans to murder my brothers, Princess Kanu, Nnamdi Kanu’s younger sister cries out
Abuja, Nigeria – October 24, 2025
Princess Kanu, the younger sister of the unlawfully detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, has accused the Nigerian president, Ahmed Bola Tinubu, of orchestrating plans to murder her brothers, including Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
Speaking this morning at the Kuje Magistrate Court, the venue for the court appearance of his other brother Emmanuel Kanu, she said, “In fact, Tinubu knows what he is doing; he has plans to murder my brothers. They want to silence everyone who speaks the truth.”
Princess Kanu’s outcry also echoes the recent revelation made by activist Omoyele Sowore, who warned that the Nigerian president has plans to eliminate Mazi Nnamdi Kanu in the same fashion that Moshood Abiola was killed in July 1998. (Source: Peoples Chronicles)
Princess Kanu lamented what she described as the persecution of her family and the wider oppression of Nigerians. She condemned the recent arrest of her younger brother, Emmanuel Kanu, and Barrister Aloy Ejimakor, for participating in the October 20 peaceful protest held by Nigerians who were demanding for the unconditional release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, in line with rulings from various courts of competent jurisdiction.
She said the families of the arrested protesters, including hers was not informed before their arraignment at the Kuje Magistrate Court three days ago.
Speaking on her presence in the court today, she disclosed that she was denied access to the courtroom and her phone was confiscated by police officers, without explanation, stating that the government’s actions clearly show its determination to silence dissenting voices and punish those who stand for truth and justice.
Reflecting the growing sentiment among Nigerians and the international community, who are appalled by the actions of the government towards Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s health, how the court is handling Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s case and the continued persecution of citizens who speak out against injustice, including the recent October 20 protesters who accused the government of using live ammunition, teargas, and arrests to silence the peaceful protest.
On the state of the country, Princess Kanu declared, “Nigeria is not working, and is not going to work. I have seen it, it is not going to work. They don’t want us; what they should do is allow us to go, nothing else,” highlighting the growing discontent among Nigerians over the survival of the country.
